The first time I met Chase Parker, I didn’t exactly make a good impression.
I was hiding in the bathroom hallway of a restaurant, leaving a message for my best friend to save me from my awful date.
He overheard and told me I was a bitch, then proceeded to offer me some dating advice.
So I told him to mind his own damn business—his own tall, gorgeous, full-of-himself damn business—and went back to my miserable date.
When he walked by my table, he smirked, and I watched his arrogant, sexy ass walk back to his date.
I couldn’t help but sneak hidden glances at the condescending jerk on the other side of the room. Of course, he caught me on more than one occasion, and winked.
When the gorgeous stranger and his equally hot date suddenly appeared at our table, I thought he was going to rat me out.
But instead, he pretended we knew each other and joined us—telling elaborate, embarrassing stories about our fake childhood.
My date suddenly went from boring to bizarrely exciting.
When it was over and we parted ways, I thought about him more than I would ever admit, even though I knew I’d never see him again.
I mean, what were the chances I’d run into him again in a city with eight million people?
Then again…
What were the chances a month later he’d wind up being my new sexy boss?

YES!!! OH.MY.GOSH!!! I have to say that I have read four of Vi's books, and I have not been let down once, but THIS ONE is my absolute FAVORITE!!! This book was IT! I laughed, I smiled, I swooned....it was all there. This book was amazing.
Characters? Spot on.
Strong heroine. She was strong and a hard working woman, she knew what she wanted, but was also tested on her desires. Wants? Needs? No, definitely her desires. She was a great difference to the many heroines I've been reading and I really liked how she handled things. I read her with awe.
Chase was a funny and lighthearted, but aggressive and protective Hero t> He was pure masculinity, mixed with raw sexuality and the promise of a good time. One thing I enjoyed about his story was that he really had to find out what was going on with him. He didn't even know, but he knew he had to talk to her, meet her, get to know her. I love stories that make HIM step out of his comfort zone in a realistic fashion. I loved this story!!!
Reese and Chase's relationship had a beautiful dynamic. They were able to talk and joke around, but also be serious and honest with each other too. The way they started out played heavily throughout their story and I really think it resonated with me a lot. I loved their characters so much. I feel like SHE made HIM feel things that he denied for so many years, and He made HER understand that not all men are alike.
The descriptions? Perfectly done.
The layout of the story? Executed with precision.
The flirting? Giggle-worthy.
The innuendos? Blush inducing.
The anticipation? ARGH!!!!!
The giddiness? Anxiety pang creating. (I got a lot of those!!)
The little nuances here and there that played on throughout the whole story; I got giddiness and anxiety reading this one!!! SO GOOD! I felt wrapped up in their world. I felt real emotions. Real hemming and hawing. Real questions. It was all so real.
I shake my head because this book was LEGIT. The book was amazing!!! This is the kind of book that makes you excited to tell someone about; one that you wildly describe like a lunatic so they 'get you' and understand how much you loved it!!
It was erotic and sexy, sinful and honest. Everything you needed for a great book.
