Down to My Soul by Kennedy Ryan is LIVE!!

She doesn't wear my ring.
We never stood before a preacher.
The only vows exchanged were between our bodies; between our souls.
But she was mine and I was hers until I ruined it. I have to believe that every day, every step, every breath brings me closer to making things right.
To making her mine again.

I've seen promises broken.
I know love makes no guarantees.
But things were different for Rhys and me, until he lied, and I walked away. Only there's a chain between our hearts that I can't break. Even if I forgive him, a shadow from my past hangs over us; over this love that reaches all the way down to my soul.

I had two things in life that mattered. My mother and my music.
Mama was taken from me too soon, and now music is all I have left. It's the thing that's pushed me right out of backwoods Georgia into Los Angeles, where the line between fantasy and reality shimmers and blurs. I'm finally making my way, making my mark. I can't afford to fall for one of music's brightest stars. Not now. Music is all I have left, and I'm holding on tight with both hands. I won't let go, not even for Rhyson Gray.

I had one thing in my life that mattered - music. The only constant, it's taken me to heights most people only dream about; a gift dropped in my lap at birth. I thought it was enough. I thought it was everything until I met Kai. Now she's all I think about, like a song I can't get out of my head. If I have to chase her, if I have to give up everything - I will. And once she's mine, I won't let go.

I'm a wife, a mom, a writer, an advocate for families living with autism. That's me in a nutshell. Crack the nut, and you'll find a Southern girl gone Southern California who loves pizza and Diet Coke, and wishes she got to watch a lot more television. You can usually catch me up too late, on social media too much, or FINALLY putting a dent in my ever-growing To Be Read list!

Cover Reveal for Broken Girl by Gretchen de la O

Releasing April 29th

My name is ROSE NEWTON, and I sell my body on the streets of San Francisco. I’m what you call society's dirty little secret. On the outside, I'm in control, the woman who makes her own rules and gives nothing away for free. Inside, I’m broken and numb. Torn and shattered by my past, my life is nothing more than the lost fragments of what's left of me.

SHANE WEST represents everything that’s foreign to me. He’s brave, kind, funny, gorgeous and persistent. When fate brings us face to face, an undeniable attraction blazes between us. He becomes the constant I've never had and the only man I'll ever trust.

There is nothing simple about falling in love when you're keeping a secret like mine.

Time is bending my trust, breaking me before he brushes the back of his fingers against my lips. His touch startles me at first, but tracing his fingers on the outside curve of my lower lip soothes me.

“What if I can’t trust?” I ask in a hushed whisper.

“You can,” he answers, dragging his fingers along the outline of my jaw and down across my collarbone.

“What if it’s not in me?” I ask, still blindfolded and feet tangle in the sheet.

“You have everything you’ll ever need, right here.” he answers rubbing the tips of his fingers in circles between my breasts. My heart reaches for his touch as it leaps and crashes against my chest.

“You don’t understand, Mister, I need to have a sense of control.”

“Rosebud, control is an illusion, it’s a decision to trust a certain outcome. All you have to do is trust me and you’ll have all the control you need.”

I want his words to soothe me, and his calm, direct voice to caress the strength within me cowering at letting go of my scars. I want to trust him. I crave to taste the freedom he wants to give me. I want him to save me from a future tucked under cracked sidewalks, cold gutters and from ever having to fuck another man for a penance. I try and convince myself that he wants to keep me off the streets.

Book Review: Ginger's Heart by Katy Regnery

Once upon a time there were two cousins:
one golden like the sun,
one dark like midnight,
one a protector,
one a predator,
one a Woodsman
one a Wolf…
both owning equal,
but different,
parts of a little girl’s heart.

In this modern retelling of "Little Red Riding Hood," the woodsman and the wolf are cousins, and Little Red is the girl with whom they both fall in love.

Beautiful Ginger McHuid, daughter of Kentucky's premiere horse breeder, grows up on her family farm, best friends with Cain Wolfram, the son of her father's Stallion Manager, and Cain's cousin, Josiah Woodman, son of a local banker. Throughout their happy childhood, the three are inseparable friends, but as they mature into adults, complicated feelings threaten to destroy their long history of friendship and love.

Ginger’s Heart

◆     ◆     ◆     ◆     ◆     ◆     ◆

Loving Ginger was as effortless as breathing, and no less fundamental. Had been since he was a kid, would be until he died.

What a journey....and when I say journey, I mean one that encompassed YEARS, starting when they were young kids up until they were adults. This was a beautifully painful, yet endearing journey. It wasn't the typical roller coaster we see with triangles, but more of a steady journey through time as we watched a young woman go through deeply emotional times to end up with her soul mate. This started out as young love....without a name; it was precious innocence and curiosity. But, what started out as an innocent fairytale transformed into the sexiness of a modern day romance.

The fact that Ginger had so much hanging over her heart at all times was a true testament to her strength. She was a strong girl, but she was in a serious situation! She was stuck in between her heart and her mind. She had two men that loved her deeply. One that could give her stability and deep love while the other would be able to give her excitement and honest emotions. I love the fact that we got to explore these two different feelings she felt with Cain and Josiah, because we got to see every single POV. I think the best part about this book is that Katy captured the innocence of the fairytale behind the story and the grittiness of life and what it can offer in a triangle of epic proportions.

The one thing that I still struggle with is the fact that we had all THREE points of view, but from the same scenes. While I LOVE multiple points of view, sometimes it felt redundant when we went over the exact same thing we did in the other two. But then, I sit back and take in the fact that writing the story this way allowed me to see what everyone was thinking and what they were going through as it was happening. On one hand, executed perfectly....on the other, it made the book that much longer. Either way, I became engrossed in the story by being able to get into each character's head and heart.

Katy's fairytales are my favorite of hers; her words captivate me and she really knows how to bring out the beauty in them. She always provides such an escape for my heart with the worlds she creates. I love her words. They are simply beautiful. This book was heartfelt and the love that Ginger found in the end was the love that I had picked from the get-go, so it made me smile. The love that she ends up with is the love that is magnetic and energizing and toe curling. The very definition of true love.

Two cousins. One girl. Someone wins. And someone loses.

Cover Reveal for Sweetest Venom by Mia Asher

I fell in love with a lie ...

She was beauty and destruction.

Kissing her was a tender song.

Fucking her, a wild poem.

Loving her, my downfall.

But she was mine.

Or so I thought.

I told her I wanted her body and not her love.

I lied.

One man offered me his love.

The other, the world.

I'm falling, falling, falling ...

And there's no end in sight.

My name is Mia Asher.

I'm a writer, a hopeless romantic, a wanderer, a dreamer, a cynic, and a believer.

And, oh yes...I might be a bit crazy but who isn't?

Life In Reverse is LIVE!!

Ember Bennett was my beginning...but she was also the end.

She was my downfall.

And I never even saw her coming.

She didn’t burst into my life demanding to be noticed. Instead, she slipped in under my radar when I wasn’t looking. Caught me off guard.

I should have been paying better attention.

Because I found myself drawn to her. Her quirkiness, her laughter, her brutal honesty.

I didn’t ask for her. Still I found myself wanting her. Needing her. Craving her.

I just couldn’t have her.

I was minding my own business when Vance Davenport showed up.

He wasn't talking, yet somehow I heard him.

I wasn’t looking, but my eyes sought him out.

He became something I never expected.

Until it all changed.

Then he became someone I wanted to forget.

Beth Michele is the author of Love LoveLovelyScarred BeautifulFinding AutumnRex and For the Love of Raindrops. She is a Connecticut native who loves spending time with her husband and two children. Book Tour Review for Knox by Eve Jagger

Sexy. Famous. A player on and off the field.
Cooper Knox has a body built for sex and sin, and he's my dirty little secret.

He was supposed to be a one-night stand - but now he’s back in town, and he’s going to find out the truth.

I’m his best friend’s little sister: off-limits and totally out of his league.

We swore we’d stay away from each other.
Our secret could destroy everything.
But Knox always gets what he wants.

And he wants me.

◆     ◆     ◆     ◆     ◆     ◆     ◆

I was so excited to finally get this book after I was left drooling after reading A Night With Knox (prequel)!!! That book left me with such a giddy excited need for more after my first read of Eve's. SO FUN!! It was fun, flirty and exciting. Loved it. I knew I needed to read more after I read it. So the wait began...

Once again, Eve had a very engaging story that kept me intrigued the entire time. I loved the way these two characters vibed off each other.  I really loved the entire storyline and don't think I could nitpick any little thing that didn't work for me.

Shelby is so strong and independent, but Knox *knows* her....he seems to pick up on her little cues and the nuances that make her her. I like how they work with each other and they seem to be cut from the same cloth. They just work!! It was such a swoony, intense and sultry romance between them.....and it was forbidden!!! The big brother wasn't too pleased!! HAHAHAHA!! *insert evil grin* I think that part, and the secrecy of their relationship, was what made me turn the pages deep into the night. I loved it!! I liked that we spent the bulk of the story falling in love with Knox and Shelby, and their steamy little tryst, but had a quick ending that just made you sigh. It was definitely a sexy book and funny to boot! I laughed quite a bit at what they did, and the lengths they went to, to be together. Really enjoyable!

The nice thing was being able to follow along with them, and it was an easy ride from start to finish, from the bedroom to the bar, from smiles to anger and punches. It was a great read. I will happily recommend Knox to anyone that wants a good sport romance!!

The prequel, A Night With Knox was so FUN and I loved it!! You can see my review for A Night With Knox HERE.

I am truly enjoying all these sport romances I'm reading and love the push and pull that normally comes with them. This is a definite book to pick up!

“Yeah, well, now that Knox is back in town, we’re gonna have to find him a steady girl,” Cassie says, furrowing her brow as if she’s scanning her mental rolodex.

“Yeah, between the two of us we know plenty of girls who are still single.” Savannah pulls her phone out, ready to start scrolling through her contacts.

Cash laughs. “Don’t hold your breath, ladies. The local diamond dolls are gonna be all over our boy here. Let him enjoy it before you start trying to chain him down.”

Groupies. I’ve gotta admit—the routine gets old, but the eye candy never fails to tempt me. Like I said, you only live once. “Hey, the last girl I hooked up with didn’t even know who I was,” I can’t help pointing out.

Ryder laughs. “Is that what she told you?”

I roll my eyes.

“Did you find her hidden under a rock, then? I hear those cloistered nuns are hot.” Cash grins at me, that old twinkle in his eye. He’d never mess around on Savannah, but I swear that’s made him worse than ever about hounding me to go hook up in his place.

“Actually, I met her right here in this fine establishment of ours.”

“Nice. Hooking up in the library—exactly what we had in mind,” Cash says with more than a little enthusiasm.

“You say that like we haven’t already,” Savannah butts in with a pointed eyebrow, which earns her a high-five from Cassie.

“Hey don’t change the subject,” Ryder interrupts. “You’ve been holding out on us, bro. When was this? And who, someone from school?”
“New Year’s. And nope. Never seen her before in my life. Or since, for that matter.”

It may not have been the first time a New Year’s countdown and a whole bunch of booze ended with a girl screaming my name, but this time was different. For one thing, this time I was sober enough that my memory of the way she felt beneath me in that baseball field is still seared red-hot into my brain. The number of times I’ve relived that night, her hands all over me, her breathing heavy as she urged my fingers closer to her soaking panties . . .

“So that’s where you disappeared that night, you dirty dog!” Cash punches my arm across the table.

Savannah laughs and tops off her and Cash’s glasses of bubbly with the last of the champagne. “Anybody you care to see again?”

Yeah, you could definitely say that. If I knew how to find her, that is.

“Would if I could,” I admit. “But she was a one-and-done kinda girl. Said no when I asked for her digits.”

“Oooooh,” Ryder says. “Love ‘em and leave ‘em. The very best kind.”

Cassie punches him in the arm and steals his drink out from under him. “A mystery woman, nice. What did she look like? Maybe she’s a regular.”

I open my mouth to describe her—long brown hair, huge, sexy, deep brown eyes, a sway in her step when she walks, a gravelly voice when she’s coming—okay maybe I wouldn’t have added that last part. But right as I’m about to start speaking, a knee collides with me from behind.

I manage to keep from dropping my scotch, though just barely. I’m about to spin around and bark a curse at whoever just staggered into me, when Jackson, who’s been oddly quiet so far, stiffens. “Oh, hey,” he says, looking not at me, but above and behind me.

Everyone’s eyes follow his, and I turn around to find myself staring up at a familiar face.

“What, that’s your only greeting to your beloved little sister?”

There, standing behind me, close enough to touch, close enough that I can smell the familiar floral bite of her perfume, is my not-so-mysterious-after-all New Year’s hookup. Grinning sarcastically while looking straight at Jackson.

Little sister? Jackson’s younger sister is my mysterious New Year’s hookup?

You have got to be kidding me.

"I'll do whatever it takes if it makes you cave to this"

If there was one way to end a series of amazing men and their fights to get their happily ever after, this was it. The love all these men had for their women was undeniable and I loved watching them FIGHT for their love. They fought and fought hard for it. I. LOVED. IT.

Victor and Nicole. Victor and Nicole. Victor and Nicole!!

This couple; how do you even begin to explain them? So, I outlined quite a bit to remind me of the tumultuous relationship these two had while I was reading their story, mainly because it wasn't just one issue, fixed and moved was a bunch of tiny little things to test their love. But what a love it was. A mind blowing, heart-twisting, whole-body-aching kind of love.

Victor and Nicole had this intense underlying sexual tension any time they were around each other. So much so that it made the ever disciplined and in control Victor lose his ever loving mind!! It was very evident by the way her just being around him made him question his morals and responsibilities. What we saw of Victor throughout the other books was a very devoted and disciplined man with his goals in life, but the ladies were not in his wheelhouse of needs. Sure, he got what he wanted, when he wanted it, but nothing long term to take him away from his goals. When they got together, it was combustible. This tension was extremely sexy and quite addicting!! I needed this push and pull between them. It just fit Victor's MO....he isn't easily distracted from his priorities and job, but he wants something that he can't have. I loved this part of him. Of her. Of them.

Victor was so dominating and it was so freaking HOT, but Nicole was NOT one to back down. She had a mouth and words came out without abandon. She said what she needed to say, but it wasn't without consequence. Some would think this was unhealthy, but they communicated "all out". Hardcore. Ballsy. Sometimes callous. But, it got conversation rolling....and they needed that. But, when Victor opened his mouth and said what needed to be said, he left no room for discussion. Because he "always got his way", and it was freaking sexy! I love the way he went all alpha on was super swoony!! Body tingling swoony!

The only reason I can't give this a full 5 stars was because I didn't feel as much emotion behind these two in the very beginning. Was it sexy? Yes! Was it hot? Absolutely! Did it pick up? Oh yes!!! Very much so....but it took a while to get there. There were some seriously sexy times and this entire story was a powerful push and pull of their hearts and their emotions. Victor was a REAL man. ALL man. There was something so understated and brash about him that I absolutely loved.

"You are every goal I never knew I wanted."

We pull up to the venue, formerly a private estate that now hosts weddings and other events. The cream-colored limestone house with its circular steps and wide veranda welcome us as warmly as the wedding hostesses.

San hands the keys to his shiny new Tahoe over to the valet. Steady work at Spotted is paying off. We’ve both moved up fast in the world. He’s even in a new apartment downtown, where I’m crashing for my one week off tour. I’ll figure out living arrangements when I’m done in another month. Maybe by then, I’ll have the whole Rhyson problem solved.

My problem is standing in the slab-stoned foyer where guests gather as they wait to be ushered into the backyard. Rhys wears a dark suit and a sky blue tie, eyes dark and intense and set on me, waiting for me. I could never forget the pewter eyes that barrel through my defenses, or the hair, dark but dappled with deep copper streaks, or the beautifully rugged symmetry of his features. I didn’t forget, but everything about him impacts me like it’s the first time, trapping the breath in my throat. Our eyes haven’t even met yet, and I already feel the tug of that chain. I was a fool to underestimate this pull. It’s only now that he’s within touching distance that I realize how foolish I was to think I could resist him.

He steps into my path so there’s no avoiding him, his eyes licking heat over my body in the periwinkle dress molding to my torso, clinging to my arms from shoulder to elbow, and belling out from my waist to stop just above my knees. For a moment, we just stare at one another, drinking in the details until I can’t take it another second and free my eyes from his, looking instead at the simple flats on my feet.

“Kai, hey.” He flicks a dismissive look at San by my side. “San.”

“Rhyson, good to see you.” San smirks, standing there when he knows good and doggone well Rhyson wants to talk to me alone. He just pokes Rhys sometimes to watch him jerk. Rhys levels an annoyed look at San.

“Dude, take a walk.”

San slides his glance to me, brows raised, silently asking me if it’s okay to leave.

“It’s fine.” I assure him with a smile. “I’ll catch up.”

San saunters off, finding someone I don’t know to chat with a few feet away, leaving Rhyson and me alone. The air charges with every breath we draw, both of us waiting for the other to speak. Rhyson finally goes first.

“I see you still have your guard dog.” He frowns over at San before returning his attention to me.

“We’ve been taking care of each other a long time.” I still don’t, can’t quite fully meet his eyes.

Whatever small talk I thought we might make disintegrates as soon as I brave a glance up at him. The space between our eyes, our bodies, pulses with tension and heat.

“Pep, you’ve got to stop looking at me like that,” Rhyson says, voice strung low and tight.

“Like what? I…”

He dips his head, looking up from beneath the dark brows in a way that tells me I know exactly how I’m looking at him. Like he’s a wall I want to scale and devour everything on the other side of. That’s how it feels, assaulting me without warning. The desire to reclaim, repossess him.

“You’re looking at me like you wanna get fucked in this foyer,” he answers softly.

His husky words set my cheeks on fire, and I lower my eyes so he won’t see just how accurate that statement is. Maybe a little time and distance dulled my memory of this connection that vibrates between us like a physical thing exploding onto my senses. Our passion sprinkles across my tongue. Our lust hovers like a torch just shy of my skin. Our love – an ultrasonic boom, out of frequency for everyone but the two of us.

“I-I guess I didn’t really think about how it would be seeing you again.” I glance up at him once I have my body set to simmer.

“And I haven’t been able to think of anything else.” His eyes never leave my face, and I can’t look away for the life of me. We’ve trapped each other, and less and less I want to wiggle free.

I'm a wife, a mom, a writer, an advocate for families living with autism. That's me in a nutshell. Crack the nut, and you'll find a Southern girl gone Southern California who loves pizza and Diet Coke, and wishes she got to watch a lot more television.
