Book Review for Sexy Lies and Rock & Roll by Sawyer Bennett

SEXY LIES and ROCK & ROLL

When you’re a rock god, fame and fortune are your two best friends, but they can be fickle bitches. Everyone wants a piece of me and I have no clue how to deal with it all. I’m being sued, pressured to sign contracts, and fending off rabid women who want to steal my virtue.
Well, not that I really have any virtue, but still… my life has turned completely bat-shit crazy.

That’s why I need Emma Peterson. She got me out of a bit of a jam once, and I know she can do it again. The only problem is that sweet, prim and totally straight-laced Emma doesn’t want anything to do with me. Not professionally, and certainly not personally.

It’s not that I want her in that way. Let’s be realistic… it would take a crow bar of epic proportions to get her to spread those legs for me.

No, I only want her legal expertise and for her to make sense of my crazy world. It’s a good thing I have just the leverage to make her do my bidding, because her refusal is not an option.

*Sexy Lies and Rock & Roll is a hot, romantic comedy stand alone.

REVIEW: 4 STARS
"I think Miss Emma Peterson's ordered little world is going to be shaken up soon, and I can't wait to see how she handles it."

Seriously....Evan!!! Oh, Evan. <sigh> He was all parts man, cocky, sexy and funny. I loved that he got into the position he did, because his "needing" a lawyer made for a fun and sexy book to read!!

This book reinforced what I love about Sawyer Bennett's writing. It was an easy, smile inducing read. I love her books and love that I know I can escape into them and am guaranteed a smile. This book did exactly that. It was a quick read, a one day kinda thing, but it flowed easily and the story was well rounded. So necessary after the CrAzY week we just had, and it was most definitely welcome after the troubles with books I've had recently. I am *SO* happy!

I loved these two! He had a dirrrrrty mouth.....like, he made me smile. It was fun to see him turn her out. She was prim and proper and he was a sweetheart, but a dirrrrrty talker! I feel like they were the best balance for each other, and I love when you find 'the one' that balances you out. It's just right. And Evan was such the gentleman too. He didn't know how much she meant to him, but he had a fierce feeling to protect her and I loved seeing that in him. He knew before he really knew.

Midge Payne!!! People, we got more Midge!!! I love that Sawyer brings back characters from other books to play a role. It's a little treat!! That book gave us a little blip that was certainly most fun to read about, but do NOT worry; this is a complete standalone and you don't have to read Friction in order to understand anything. I promise.

This was a fun standalone and as always, Sawyer Bennett's story allowed me to escape for a little bit.
