Book Review: Wicked Need by Sawyer Bennett

WICKED NEED

Rand Bishop’s dreams of Olympic gold were shattered years ago but he’s left that all behind, settling into a new career and lifestyle that would make any man jealous. While he may not be competitively racing down the ski slopes anymore, he’s just as happy getting his rocks off as a Fantasy Maker for The Silo.

He’s good at what he does.
Damn good.

But while life couldn’t be better for Rand, it seems to be falling apart for Catherine Lyons Vaughn, the dark haired, brown-eyed beauty that has captivated an entire sex club.

Having spent years degrading herself on her husband’s whim and now left destitute after his death, Catherine has hit rock bottom. With nothing but her body to peddle, Catherine is merely trying to figure out how to survive in a harsh, cruel world. Lucky for her, Rand has taken her under his tattooed wing, and he’s determined to give her a safe life where she can be the woman she was always meant to be.

Now all Catherine has to do is believe she deserves the chance.

REVIEW: 4 STARS

"Well, I think we're a little north of roommates, a little east of friendship, and probably a little south of fuck buddies."

In true Sawyer Bennett fashion: once again, she has written a story that made me fall in love with another man. Another one!! I love her men....but my bed is getting full. HAHAHA! She also has the ability to make me change my previously felt opinions on someone I didn't necessarily want to! I wasn't too sure how I was going to accept this love story between Cat and Rand. You see, I had already formed an opinion on Catherine from the previous story, Wicked Lust, so I wasn't sure how THIS one was going to work. I already knew I loved Rand from what I had previously read and learned about him. Little did I know...

I feel like this book was Rand's story, but it was just as much Catherine's too. Duh, you say? Yeah....BUT!! We knew Rand from Wicked Lust, and all his "kinky fuckery". How could you not fall in love with him? How could you not want to know more about him?? This was a gimme to me. Completely. But Catherine? Catherine was a story in herself. While I didn't necessarily have warm fuzzy feelings for her after meeting her in Wicked Lust, getting to know her in this capacity was very rewarding. She was a very broken girl and the way SB told this story, it allowed me to soften around the edges for her and a few parts really made me smile and I got the chills as well. The hard part to admit: I didn't like her lack of self esteem, or her inability to accept Rand's love. This was probably the hardest part for me to read. I wanted to shake her. I wanted to scream at her!!! UGH!!! But, I had to realize that as broken as she was, she wasn't going to magically be strong and confident. So, again....SB told the story just right and allowed me to see her growth. I love her stories. She always makes me enjoy my read.

And RAND!!? <HOT> <SEXY> <Fuckable Rand> YES!!! He is the embodiment of PURE SEXY and DELICIOUS. Seriously, ALL MAN. This book was SO FREAKING SEXY and HOT. This story will definitely make you squirm!! YUMMY. He always went above and beyond to make Catherine feel loved and accepted for who she is and what she has been through. He is just sigh worthy.

So freaking sexy....

And by giving me a look into the NEXT book, I can't freaking wait!!!!!! Logan has a defnite story to tell and I will be the first in line to grab it!
