I saw the first three of these books by Harper Bentley on sale one day, and I picked them all up....and THEN I saw the tour for this one and decided to jump right in. Harper Bentley is a new author to me, and I am glad I took that jump. I haven't heard of this author, so it was a whole new writing style for me.
I really enjoyed this story...it was a very easy-going and quick, and well worth the read. The sex scenes were really steamy and the back and forth between the characters was witty at times, and I caught myself giggling a time or two. There wasn't any angst, per se, so it was super easy to read. I finished this in one sitting and felt engaged the entire time.
The very beginning started a little rocky for me and it made me question the heroine a tad, but once we got into the meat of the story, it picked right up. Some cheesy parts, some parts read like a teenager's diary, but then some really made me smile and laugh!! I was really enjoying it. This book was, at times, cold and and at other times, really hot, but it was a really sweet book. I really liked Ryker and his dirty mouth! He was super sexy.

I enjoyed the way this author wrote, and after reading this book, I am looking forward to reading GABLE, ZEKE and LOCH. This is a standalone in a series, and they can all be read separately, or as part of the series.
