Book Review and Giveaway for Broken Love Story by Natasha Madison

Samantha:

I had the perfect life; a husband who loved me, and two kids who were my world.

Until someone else answered his phone and my perfect life shattered.

When he died, I was left with answers he couldn't give me and a box full of lies.

He left me broken.

Blake:

I fell in love when I was fifteen, knowing she was the one.

For five years, she was my everything—my every breath, every heartbeat, every thought.

She made me promise to move on, promise to find love again, but I broke those promises because I can't move on.

Two broken souls brought together by tragedy and heartbreak.

Can a broken love story be fixed?

REVIEW: 4-4.5 STARS
"This is how my perfect life became broken."

When I tell you this is the must read series of the year for sweet and engaging storylines, I mean it when I say this is the series you need to read. Let go of your problems, pick up these books, and just smile your way through the entire series. I'm serious. While they are very light on actuality in some aspects, they are very, very on point with sexy and sweet, engaging and perfect.

I said it already in one of my reviews for this series, and I'll say it again....this isn't my normal read. This isn't even a style I would shout out, but dammit if her stories aren't inviting and warm and make you smile!! This has to be one of my FAVORITE series of the year. It completely took me by surprise by how much I loved it! The way she tells her stories, it's with a no nonsense, quick and blunt way to get her story across: to the point and I loved it! It works. There is no dillly-dallying around. What surprises me the most is that I barely highlighted ANYTHING in this book....and that's not my normal. I'm usually a highlighting fool. I was just so caught up in their story that I just whipped right through it.  I'm serious when I say I loved this...I truly did.

"When one man’s death exposes a complex web of lies, three couples discover the true meaning of love, loss and redemption."

Here's what stuck out to me the most. With this one's very enticing, very eye-opening tagline, I was immediately sucked in to the entire series. Favorite tagline of the YEAR! Not only did we get three points of views on the exact same occurrence with each book in this series, not ONE of them was the same and bored me or felt repetitive. When we got Hailey's POV in Perfect Love Story, I was in her shoes. I felt her pain. I loved and lost with her.  When we got to Crystal's POV in Unexpected Love Story, I teared up a tiny bit with seeing how she was feeling for Hailey and what she could do to try and help. So sweet, that Crystal was. But when I got to this one, Blake's mental discussions were so sad and so protective. Totally made me fall deeper in love with him. I already loved him from the moment I saw him take action in Perfect Love Story, so when I finally got to his POV, I was completely consumed by him. A young man with his head on his shoulders, and his priorities and morals were in tact. Floored. In love. Happy as can be. This series was truly the easiest read I've had in a while and this book was the perfect finish for it!!

There were two timeline inconsistencies that I noted while reading this one, but nothing that really messed with the overall flow of the story or the book, so it didn't truly affect me on an enjoyment level. All in all, this series gave me nothing but smiles. Ok, and a few tears....but nothing but giggles and smiles. I *loved* it! I cannot recommend it enough for those of you that want a light, fun and easy read that's guaranteed to make you smile.

With this being my first series/read of Natasha Madison, I am definitely on board to check out more of her writing. If she can infuse as much sarcasm and wit as she did with such a sobering topic, well I am game. Again, not my normal reads since I like the heavy, emotional kind, but this kind of writing I would love to throw in between the heavies. This was seriously perfect for me. What a breath of fresh air!
