Book Review for Sugar Daddy by Sawyer Bennett

Sela Halstead lost her innocence in a way that no sixteen-year-old should ever have to endure. She’s spent years trying to forget that night even while wondering about the identities of the monsters who brutalized her—until a telltale tattoo flashes across Sela’s TV screen. The incriminating ink belongs to Jonathon Townsend, the millionaire founder of The Sugar Bowl, a website that matches rich older men with impressionable young women. Obsessed with revenge, Sela infiltrates Townsend’s world, only to come face-to-face with a tantalizing complication: Beckett North, his charismatic business partner.

The tech mastermind behind The Sugar Bowl, Beck always gets what he wants, in business and in bed. And yet, for a man who’s done every dirty thing imaginable, there’s something about the naïve, fresh-faced Sela that sparks his hottest fantasies. Because with her, it’s not just about sex. Beck opens up to her in ways he never has with other girls. So why does he get the feeling that she’s hiding something? In a world of pleasure and power, the shocking truth could turn them against each other—or bind them forever.

Note: Sugar Daddy ends on a cliffhanger. Sela and Beck’s story continues in Sugar Rush and Sugar Free!

"And once again, I'm wondering if the path I'm on seeking retribution is a fool's errand when I consider what I can lose."

Oh. My. Gosh. I am seriously jittery!!!! Holy cow. Ok. Breathe. I need more!!! I feel all twitchy because of how this ended!! I want to say....it's amazing what meeting the 'right' person can do for you. <sigh>

Revenge is a nasty thing and to have it boiling deep within your soul, and you want to let it out in any way possible, has got to be a hard thing to rationalize. Nothing was going to stand in Sela's way to exact said revenge. Well, nothing except maybe a hunky, dominant man!!  Beck has NO idea he is a pawn in her game, so his love gets to grow uninhibited and my gosh, it is a dreamy, blossoming relationship. I loved his demeanor. I loved his strength. But what I loved most was that he sought out a relationship with Sela, and he had never done that before. He knew what he wanted...he was getting it. One way or another.

The buildup for this book was so good. The premise behind it was a different one for me, so I was able to just sink into it and get lost in the storyline. I loved how I was able to go through it all and feel the pain, the anger and the hurt, but I was also privy to the love, the amazing happy feelings and the walls starting to crumble. The love grew unrestricted, and unexpectedly.....but the pain was still very evident. This push and pull struggle of the hearts was so good to read. I loved that I actually felt awkward right along with Sela. I felt the walls around her heart crumble. I felt the excitement Beck felt about the possibilities that existed. This book was just all around good.

I love Beck. I will put this out there NOW and claim him. Thank you. Move along. HE WAS HOT! Sexy as all get out, my gosh. He makes me giggle like a fool thinking about him....and I don't giggle!

I really enjoyed the buildup and the actual cliffhanger left me crazy laughing....I need to know what happens!!!! Argh! This book will make you excited just to see what happens. It's definitely a rush and a lot happens to both Beck and Sela; emotionally and mentally. I read it in one day. Devoured it. So good.

"What do you want, Sela?"
"I want to come."
"Good fucking answer."
