Book Review: Crave Me by M Robinson

They say in order to find yourself you have to go home.
What if home was what you're running from?
Where did that leave you?

Always on the other side of the fence.
Always looking in.
Always wishing you were someone you couldn't be.

Until one day you meet her.
The one.
She was my high, but she was also...
My demise.

REVIEW: 4 STARS
"What goes up, must come down. It's the law of physics, the code of life."

I will be very up front and honest: originally, I was not so inclined to read this book because of the nature of the story. I don't like books about druggies and their 'woe-is-me' life story because I have no patience or tolerance for that or their reasons. Lived it. Seen what it did to my brother. Over it. But leave it to M Robinson to really make me see another side to this issue. Her words elicit feelings; pain, happiness, euphoria, bliss, anger.....LOVE.  She artfully crafts her stories so that you have no choice but to hang on to her every word. Austin's story was a soul-gripping, body-aching, heart-searching read that had me turning the pages with intensity. I was caught up in Briggs' and Austin's story and I really felt the turmoil that was happening in their lives. So well done.

Briggs doesn't exactly have a bad life, but she certainly doesn't have a good life. She has been through some serious hell....poor child. My gosh, I immediately wanted to hug her tight from the beginning of the book until the very last page.

We knew Austin from the other three books, but with the amazing storytelling Robinson gives us, she cleverly retells each persons story from a whole new point of view, and it doesn't get old. Every time I read a new story in this series, I learn something new and I have to say that is my FAVORITE part about this series. I love the way it's written.

I wanted to hate Austin. I wanted to be mad at him....yet, I couldn't. From the beginning of the story until the end, I was brought through a story that was all encompassing. I saw what Austin went through from the very beginning until the very end, and I felt for him during the whole book. That is a true testament to Robinson's storytelling.

I love this series. It's an easily recommendable series and I will be recommending it for some time. This book is definitely a knot-inducing book.
