REVIEW: 4.5 STARS
"I love him so blindly that I would take him even in misery."

First and foremost: This is NOT a triangle. At all.

It appears there needs to be some clarification, because I keep hearing people say this is a triangle and I figured I could quell the fears. This is NOT, I repeat NOT a triangle. Is there competition? Sure.... but the blurb says it all and she's only picking one. But the journey of these characters and the way their relationship grows and spirals out of control - that is what the story is about. That is what made this an emotional read for me. One I will not soon forget. One I *will* have signed on my shelf.

The opening of this book was so honest and so innocent - it honestly started out in the most perfect of ways. It totally solidified the storyline for me, especially looking back on it. It immediately drew me in because I love honest love, and this provided an unaffected look at the world through innocent eyes. But knowing how it started and looking back, it was the backbone of the story - one I will remember for a while. Oh gosh.....Grey, Donovan, and Liam. I love them. I love them ALL.

"Of all the pieces she's giving me, it's always been her heart I wanted most."

I know I am always ranting about unnecessary or forced drama and how I hate it in books. Did I worry about the 'reasons' or the 'drama' that was in this book.....this time, I can definitively say no. It was teenagers testing waters. It was hearts defying minds and logic. It had drama, but it was age appropriate stupid-but-real drama. But the writing, the story in itself, had me seeking more as I turned the pages, and that's what I love about her writing. I think Pucci's voice is so raw and unrefined, but thats what I love about it. She's so talented. She’s grown since I first started reading her and not only is her voice getting stronger, her stories are more encompassing.

She wrote this with a scintillating rumble that I could just feel and hear of two men that are deeply affected by their woman. Yes, their woman. But in what way? Hmmm? Right...it is definitely the part that intrigued me the most when I first read that synopsis. She gave so much character to her characters. Their depth was there for discovery, and their journey was mottled in many ways. So many variables. Family is friends is lovers is life. #BeeQuote

I think you should really check out this EXCERPT on my blog.

NA is a unique genre for me to entertain. It needs to have something that keeps me turning the pages without saying “I’ve read this already.” I want something that pulls me in but doesn't have me rolling my eyes. It's such a tricky genre for me but this book feels like it was written just for ME to enjoy. I loved this one SO much. It was everything I needed and wanted out of an NA, and it just strengthened my love of Trilina Pucci's writing style and voice. I know her from a much different storyline, so to hear her from this voice, this aspect - it was a neat departure.

The opportunities for more are HERE!!!! I need MORE of this world and these kids. Need > Want. Make it happen, Trilina!!

Trust me, you'll want this baby signed and on your shelf!

REVIEW: 4.5 Fabulous Stars
"He was simply too beautiful and too good."

OMGosh!! Again, way too damn short! I got wrapped up in this world and I read through so quickly that by the time I got to the end, I was left scrambling for more!! A blessing in disguise, for sure, but now I miss them!! Gimme more Solo and Panther!! Ella and Brooke have given me yet another couple and series to get lost in. I am absolutely, hands down, in love with them. Undeniably!!!

You know those kinds of books that reaffirm why you love reading.  Why you love falling in love with love. Why you hide out and read books when you could be social with your family? This book and series is exactly why. It definitely provided a very necessary smile. A very warm snuggly feeling in my heart. Grant and Mateo are everything I needed at this very moment. The smile on my face the entire time I was reading was genuine and I am still smiling while thinking about them days later.

"Don't you know by now? I'm the luckiest motherfucker around."

I feel like this book actually showcased the budding friendship that grew outside of the physical attraction for Grant and Mateo. I giggled at the jokes and swooned at the looks passed between them in the quiet time, but I melted at the honesty in the acceptance of what the heart truly wanted and needed. The transition - the morph - from this hot and sexy, can’t-keep-their-hands-off-each-other attraction to something deeper, more meaningful, was bliss to read. Not only that, though. There was still this alpha side to them, this cajoling, this arrogance that you can only possess with confidence with this type of job that requires NO FEAR. Because you cannot be in the sky doing barrel rolls with niggling fear!! I loved the adrenaline rush I seemed to get while sitting in the cockpit with these guys. Once again, it was just a rush to read and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

—>  To be able to descriptively make someone fall in love on a page has to be difficult - but to make a reader 'realize it' and feel it - that is simply amazing. I can’t imagine trying to share those feelings through words and having readers understand it....but they seem to excel at this with ease. I am blown away at how much I feel when I read their books. This was no different. I did feel it all. I did fall in love with the love that is their story. I just loved this one so much!!

I DO realize I’ll just be one of those glowing reviews that praises this duo and series, but it’s the truth - and thankfully subjective. There is just something about this duo's voice that works for me and they always suck me in, give me a story I can get lost in, and ignore the outside world for. After being away from the reading world for a few weeks, this was the most welcome book I have come back to. I had put a few books down before this one thinking I wasn’t ready to focus on a book, but I’ve come to realize it was the voice I was reading, and not me. I love the ease in which they flip the switch in their books. I love the smooth layer of alpha sexiness they smother on their characters. But I love the way they tell me a story. I get so caught up in their words, and it’s always an escape. They’re quick and easy reads, but they pack a lot of emotion and entertainment.

This was definitely the reading experience I needed. No expectations, no requirements, just easy, great reading. The excitement, the giddiness, it was all there. It was just great being able to settle into a book and just enjoy it. I know many times in a book, let alone a second book in a series, we always expect something or want more or need more… but I love that I was able to settle into this one knowing I was going to come out with a good second part and accept that there was more coming, but not knowing what was to come - it was everything I needed from this book. Unmasked Joy and relevance - this book offered it all.

I actually liked this cliffhanger. It made me smile. I’m still smiling. But now the cravings start all over again....

"How did you stop your heart from falling over someone like that?"

~EXCLUSIVE EXCERPT~

The boys laugh, pouring only two shots. They both stand staring at me, Grey to my right and Liam to my left, as my head shifts slowly between them. It’s my turn to toast. Liam licks the side of his glass, cleaning some liquid that’s spilled, and my eyes dart to his tongue, watching it drag over the smooth surface, lapping up the Jack.

Before I can stop myself, the words are already out.

“To bad ideas and the boys who get me into trouble.”

The shot glasses hit the counter the minute they drink, and I tip my head back laughing. I rub my lips together and smile at them. “We need music.”

“Done.”

Liam grabs the bottle of Jack and walks over to his phone that’s on the counter, picking it up and looking down with a serious expression. He stays that way for only a moment before his beautiful face pops back up smiling, as the music filters out through speakers in the ceiling.

I wander over toward the couch, Grey right behind me, as the music amps up, hitting a crescendo. Liam turns it up loud, and Grey grabs me, spinning me around. We start to jump and thrash our arms around, Liam joining in, losing ourselves to the music and yelling to the ceiling. It’s perfect. They’re perfect.

The oversized shirt I’m wearing bounces up, exposing glimpses of G-string, but I don’t care because it doesn’t matter. Nothing matters except this night.

Liam takes a swig from the Jack and passes it over to Grey as I shake my hips and turn in a circle. I lick my lips, my teeth sinking into the bottom one, as Liam comes up behind me, matching my rhythm and swaying back and forth. His hand splays over my stomach, and the warmth I was feeling from the liquor feels like ice in comparison to his large palm. He turns us to face Grey, who is standing stock-still, bottle in hand and a cigarette lifting to his lips. He takes in a long drag as he watches us dance. It’s the way he watches that makes my entire body feel on fire.

He’s arrogant. Entitled. Like a goddamn king. My very favorite version.

My eyes drift to his torso, taking in the tattoo again and smiling. It’s fitting for him— “I am not led, I lead.” He does lead, everyone but me. In fact, I’ll never tell that I already knew what it meant. Sometimes, it’s more fun to let him believe his saying.

He juts his chin, calling me to him, but I don’t move. Try again. Liam nudges my waist, speaking into my ear. “Go on, Van. He won’t bite. Unless you ask him to.”

Holy, hellfire and brimstone. I’m going to burn for this. Closing the three feet between us feels like the longest walk of my life, each step erasing the line before it. My throat is dry, but I’m already wet everywhere else. My thoughts are barreling around in my mind like they’re all in a freefall. But all I know is that I want whatever Grey has to offer.

Grey looks down at me as I come to a stop in front of him, peeking up through my lashes.

“You wanna hit?” He brings the cigarette back between his lips, sucking in the smoke, and I nod, but he doesn’t hand it to me, just blows up into the air. Grey’s eyes lock to mine as his head tips back down.

“Ask me nicely.”

“No.”

My hair is swept over my shoulder as the heat from Liam’s body engulfs me from behind. His lips graze my neck as he inhales up my jawline, making my head tilt and breath suck in between my teeth. Lines aren’t just being blurred. They don’t fucking exist anymore.

“Come on, Van. Ask us nicely,” Liam whispers, and my eyes shut.

When I open them, Grey flicks his cigarette into the fire. He licks his lips, letting his eyes drift down my body to where Liam’s finger is tracing the hem of the T-shirt at the top of my thigh. Liam’s finger runs back and forth indecently slow, barely ducking under the fabric, but I’m already panting, wet, and hungry. So fucking hungry. They’re really good at this.

“Were you actually talking about smoking?” I ask, already suspecting the answer.

“Not even a little, Cherry.”

REVIEW 4.5 EXHILARATING STARS
"He was the perfect combination of sin, sex, and man."

I'm in the Danger Zone!! Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine are going to make it so I have to have an entire bookshelf dedicated to them and their books, I can tell. A new series, a new need - my shelf will be heavy with their books. Grant and Mateo, referred to as Panther and Solo by their fellow pilots, or affectionately known as Sexy AF and Naughty AF by their new favorite reader (moi), have definitely put me on edge with not only their grittiness that shuffled between the two of them, but with their story that pulled me in - not that I am complaining. I was definitely along for the ride.

"Solo was the same guy whether he was flying or fucking - cocky but with the skills to back it up, aggressive...and unpredictable. It would be hazardous to my health to get addicted to a guy like him."

Mateo had a lofty sense of self confidence and was quite playful. To top it all off, he was sexy AF - just enough to back up all that cockiness. Did I like his straightforwardness? I did. I most assuredly did. His mouth had me smiling on more than one occasion. His comebacks were so cocksure and so bold, I actually had wide eyes a few times. I loved that he knew what he wanted and he went after it. He also saw the truth behind Grant's eyes - and that made him that much more attractive to me - he pays attention to the little details. I love a confident man. Aggravatingly sexy, annoying and fun - Solo had the kind of personality anyone would love to hate. Or hate to love. I personally loved him but I feel like he is hiding something, so I know there's more to him. Something deeper. I want to figure him out SO bad.

Grant is broody, well-contained, and responsible - just all around serious, but with an adrenaline seeking soul living deep within him. He lives by his rules and is on the straight and narrow, but with the thrill he seeks, that wild side comes out and that, my friends, was delicious to watch. My favorite part was watching their differences colliding at every turn, producing an epic....result. The push and pull between these two could make anyone go mad, orrrr it could provide a titillating story that provided the needed challenge to line the pages for the battle that I know is coming. I'm ready for this one!! *rubs hands together*

Solo was the fun to Panther’s straight and narrow. Their warring personalities took me for a ride a few times. I liked their hearty banter - but the way they regard each other is all sorts of tingly fun. The ribbing alone with the other characters definitely gave the cocky vibe I would only accept from these two characters - or any of the other pilots in this story. They have to have that sort of unwavering confidence in their life just to survive the type of job they have. Balls to the walls. I sorta felt like I was one of the guys in that training room - banter, ribbing, teasing. The taunting was genuine and it didn't feel forced, but that's the brotherhood they're in and it was like being one of the guys. Or Whiplash. I like her.

Here is the crazy thing: I love instalove. Especially if it's done well. If I get the thrill and the excitement from the words with the buildup, I'm all in. Even though this wasn't instalove, it sure was instalust. There was a charge in the air when they were near and it was palpable just from reading the book. That battle of wills is what actually made the book for me. Yes, I like the storyline that's building behind their love story, but I'm actually enjoying the inner workings of the feud that's brewing between these guys because someone is going to have to inevitably give in.

Who knew cocky could have so many names and personalities, that it could be written so many ways and still hold my attention? Frank and Blaine always give me a new story with a cocky MF’r like nobody’s business. I feel like they have confidence and sexiness in their characters because they clearly write that well, but I love that they have different personalities and different stories/backgrounds to keep me coming back. I have loved everything I've read by them so far, so I am going to be here waiting patiently for the next book in this series, because that cliffhanger has me discussing my theories.

I seriously can only complain about ONE thing: it's too damn short. You hear me?? Ugh! Too short because I want MORE of them and I want it NOW. I love them, and I want to snuggle them and I want to squeeze them and I....oh wait. Sorry, I got carried away. Just saying, I wouldn't mind being stuck to my reading chair for a few days reading it all in one fell swoop. They were highly addicting, the two of them, and they have me hanging around for more.

These authors definitely know how to give me that adrenaline rush I want in an action packed book. The feeling of being in the cockpit with Grant and Mateo, that was exhilarating and fun to read. I know I will never be able to watch an airshow again without these guys popping up in my head, that much I can tell you. This book was a rush. It was a lot of fun to read and I found myself completely invested in what was going on. All in all, this gave me everything I want in a book. A scorching attraction that is all degrees of hotness, a flow in the words that makes it easy to read, and a story that has me turning the pages because I cannot imagine putting it down. I love these kinds of books because they confirm that my favorites comes in all shapes and sizes. I loved this one and cannot wait for more.

"He looked like a man barely holding on to his control, and I wanted to be the one to make him lose it."

Book Review and Giveaway for Slow Dancing by Stylo Fantome

A rising pop star who can't let go of her emotional baggage, and a cocky dance partner who doesn't know what monogamy is.

She's inhibited.
He's free-spirited.

She doesn't want a relationship.
He doesn't believe in them.

She can't believe that anyone would love her.
He can't seem to stop himself from loving her.

When their differences collide and sparks start to fly, he's sure it's the start of something amazing.

And she's sure it's the end of her career.

Who will be right?

REVIEW: 4+ STARS
"I want this more than I'm afraid of it."

I have always said I love when a book challenges me. Whether it's my thought process or my emotions, I want to read a book that makes me think about the consequences or the possibilities of what may be or what could have been. So when I originally saw the words that Stylo Fantôme put out about this book, I knew it was just the challenge I needed from her. She originally wrote:

“𝑺𝒍𝒐𝒘 𝒃𝒖𝒓𝒏, 𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒔𝒕, 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒇𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏, 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆, 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒔𝒕𝒖𝒇𝒇. 𝑰𝒕'𝒍𝒍 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒂𝒚𝒃𝒆 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒔𝒆𝒙𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚 - 𝒐𝒓 𝒂𝒕 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒑𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒔.”

So, naturally, I was drawn to it. What would make me question my sexuality? Like, where is she going with this, right? So I signed up and jumped in and let me tell you, I have never been more happy to jump into a book without a full description before. And she didn't let me down. After reading the excerpt (HERE) that I posted on my blog before the tour started, I knew there was more to this story than we were given, and I *LOVE* that side of reading. The discovery is always my favorite part, and this book seriously made me smile. This one will stay with me a long while. The implications, the discovery, the journey these characters took made me think about a lot.

Woods was so intuitive....he was a watcher. So when he was there for Logan at all the right times, I got to see this protective side that could just about melt anyone, me included. I really, really loved his truth. His real truth. Unapologetic in every right, but sincere in the truest form - and if that didn't endear me to him, I don't know what can. LOVED him. Loved. He always saw the joke or the happy side of a comment; never the angry side. I loved his banter in that respect. His comebacks were on point and his mentality was written exactly how I feel I needed to read him because that's what made the book actually work for me. His strength mixed with his vulnerability was the perfect infusion.

"I hope you're happy with yourself, Logan Cassidy. You broke my sex drive."

Logan, poor thing. I felt like she was definitely a puppet in her own world and I felt bad for her. I wanted to see her break out of her shell, and it seemed to work for Logan with Woods. I love that there is sort of a release that Logan gets with the comfort - although different - that Woods gives her. The dynamic between them was strong and his intuition was spot on. Their intimacy was so sexy and so intense in the calm times, I can only imagine it at the peak of passion. Soooo delicious, like - give me more of them!!!! Everything about them worked for me in that aspect.

I know it’s always easier to feel safe and let your guard down when there is no chance of emotions coming to light.....right? It's easier to hide in person, but let loose behind a sort of "wall." That energy danced within this story and I could feel Logan feeling freer in the ability to let loose around Woods because of who he was. It added an element of curiosity that there was no way I could explain away. I wanted to know e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g. I read with interest beyond my wildest of understandings, and that discovery (there I go using that word again, but it's so true!!) was the best part about their world. Navigating their "relationship" was so much fun. The give and take was even compelling. There was just enough tension to give me the anxiety pangs deep within, but just enough ease to calm that nervousness as well. There wasn't any angst, but it was just a really great story to enjoy.

This book was perfect for exploring a love with different.... boundaries. It showed the fluid side of love and labels. I really enjoyed it. Whether it’s a real depiction of life or just one I thoroughly enjoyed reading about, she still gave a voice to a type of relationship I’ve never encountered, and for that I’m thankful. I loved this story so much.

So why is it a four if I loved it SO HARD? Because I felt like one of the sex scenes (of all things to complain about, I know) felt forced. And with that comes some forced connection issues for me. Were they hot? Holy hell, yes. They were on fire. But, ONE scene in particular pulled me completely out and it made me wonder where it came from - left field with no explanation or understanding. It was just....there. BUT!! I honestly cannot complain about much, because when it comes down to it, the insecurities were real, the drama was real....and the reality behind their situation was the most real. I LOVED THIS BOOK. I absolutely loved it. If I ever meet her, this book will be signed on my shelf and I will recommend it to anyone that will listen to me gush about a true love story.

I love the power of a real and true love; a place your heart can call home. This book was the perfect example of that.

"I'll always like all the crayons, I can't change that, you're right. Wouldn't want to even if I could. But you will always, always be my favorite color."

 ~MEET STYLO FANTÔME~
Crazy woman from a remote location in Alaska (where the need for a creative mind is a necessity!), I have been writing since ... forever? Yeah, that sounds about right. I have been told that I remind people of Lucille Ball - I also see shades of Jennifer Saunders, and Denis Leary. So basically, I laugh a lot, I'm clumsy a lot, and I say the F-word A LOT.

I like dogs more than I like most people, and I don't trust anyone who doesn't drink. No, I do not live in an igloo, and no, the sun does not set for six months out of the year, there's your Alaska lesson for the day. I have mermaid hair - both a curse and a blessing - and most of the time I talk so fast, even I can't understand me.

Yeah. I think that about sums me up.
