Book Review and Giveaway for Filthy Little Pretties by Trilina Pucci

Donovan Kennedy is the girl dreams are made of.

Five years ago, she was our best friend.
Our moral compass.
The girl that held our hands everywhere we went.

The three of us were young. Innocent.
Nothing could touch us — not even heartache.

That was then.

Now she’s back. All grown up.
With red lips and long legs — a challenge waiting to be accepted. A prize that’ll turn our world upside down.

Brothers turned to enemies.
Friendships decimated.
Lies told.
Hearts torn apart.

We never expected to fall for the girl.
In the end, she’ll only choose one —Me.

REVIEW: 4.5 STARS
"I love him so blindly that I would take him even in misery."

First and foremost: This is NOT a triangle. At all.

It appears there needs to be some clarification, because I keep hearing people say this is a triangle and I figured I could quell the fears. This is NOT, I repeat NOT a triangle. Is there competition? Sure.... but the blurb says it all and she's only picking one. But the journey of these characters and the way their relationship grows and spirals out of control - that is what the story is about. That is what made this an emotional read for me. One I will not soon forget. One I *will* have signed on my shelf.

The opening of this book was so honest and so innocent - it honestly started out in the most perfect of ways. It totally solidified the storyline for me, especially looking back on it. It immediately drew me in because I love honest love, and this provided an unaffected look at the world through innocent eyes. But knowing how it started and looking back, it was the backbone of the story - one I will remember for a while. Oh gosh.....Grey, Donovan, and Liam. I love them. I love them ALL.

"Of all the pieces she's giving me, it's always been her heart I wanted most."

I know I am always ranting about unnecessary or forced drama and how I hate it in books. Did I worry about the 'reasons' or the 'drama' that was in this book.....this time, I can definitively say no. It was teenagers testing waters. It was hearts defying minds and logic. It had drama, but it was age appropriate stupid-but-real drama. But the writing, the story in itself, had me seeking more as I turned the pages, and that's what I love about her writing. I think Pucci's voice is so raw and unrefined, but thats what I love about it. She's so talented. She’s grown since I first started reading her and not only is her voice getting stronger, her stories are more encompassing.

She wrote this with a scintillating rumble that I could just feel and hear of two men that are deeply affected by their woman. Yes, their woman. But in what way? Hmmm? Right...it is definitely the part that intrigued me the most when I first read that synopsis. She gave so much character to her characters. Their depth was there for discovery, and their journey was mottled in many ways. So many variables. Family is friends is lovers is life. #BeeQuote

I think you should really check out this EXCERPT on my blog.

NA is a unique genre for me to entertain. It needs to have something that keeps me turning the pages without saying “I’ve read this already.” I want something that pulls me in but doesn't have me rolling my eyes. It's such a tricky genre for me but this book feels like it was written just for ME to enjoy. I loved this one SO much. It was everything I needed and wanted out of an NA, and it just strengthened my love of Trilina Pucci's writing style and voice. I know her from a much different storyline, so to hear her from this voice, this aspect - it was a neat departure.

The opportunities for more are HERE!!!! I need MORE of this world and these kids. Need > Want. Make it happen, Trilina!!
