Seeing You by Michelle Lynn is LIVE!!!

SEEING YOU

Todd’s my next-door neighbor—an up-and-coming chef ready to make his mark on the world. His dreams are bold and limitless, his drive even more so.

He offers me a favor, one that I can’t refuse … only there are strings attached.

Amelia’s my next-door neighbor—a talented photographer waiting for her big break.

Her dreams are authentic and intense, her art even more so.

I made her an offer and she accepted … but I asked for something in return.

Two favors meant to make our dreams come true. Our careers were supposed to change, not our friendship. Success was the ultimate goal … until we saw each other in a different light.

EXCERPT

“Well…thank you all for staying late. You’ll be the first to leave tomorrow night, if you choose. Good night.” Davis dismisses everyone without divulging who the winner is.

I’m assuming he doesn’t want questions about wagers and who will be cashing in on what between us.

All of them quickly wave good-bye, and I notice my coat and purse lying across the bar. Todd motions toward it with his head, and I scrunch my eyebrows at him. He in turn widens his eyes, and his head points a little more exaggerated this time. I shake my head, and his lips form a tight line while his jaw juts out at me. Someone should remind him that he isn’t my father, and I don’t need his permission to stay.

The others file out, leaving me, Davis, and Todd.

“I know you have that date, Todd. Don’t worry. I’ll make sure Amelia gets home safe,” Davis tells Todd.

I raise my eyebrows at Todd, silently saying ‘you have a date, so leave me alone’.

Todd’s chest rises and falls. He’s struggling inside of himself, and I’m curious to why.

He’s the one who wanted me with Davis to distract him from the kitchen.

His eyes find mine, asking me if I’m okay with it, and I silently nod. Hopefully, Davis can’t pick up on our nonverbal communication.

“All right.” Todd’s body weaves back and forth. “Yeah, I’m already kind of late due to this whole lame hot chocolate contest.” He releases an uncomfortable chuckle. “Noodle, we’re still on for tomorrow morning?” he asks.
It almost slipped my mind that we have a photo shoot with Gia, the female model I’ve been working with.

“Yeah, ten o’clock. Don’t be late.” I point my finger at him.

His lips stay in a straight line. “Never. See you then.” He bends over the bar and kisses my cheek. His hot breath erupts goose bumps along my neck when he lingers longer than usual. “Be careful,” he whispers in my ear.

When he pulls back, all that anxiety I just heard in his words are vividly clear in the lines of his face.

“Good night, Todd. Have a fun date.” I smile, but he doesn’t.

Instead, he shakes Davis’s hand. When Todd reaches the door, he glances at me one more time before the cool night breeze streams into the restaurant with his departure.

Excerpt for Campaigning for Christopher by Katy Regnery

CAMPAIGNING FOR CHRISTOPHER

Christopher Winslow, the youngest of the four Winslow brothers, was born with a silver spoon in his privileged mouth, which has made it difficult for him to establish his credibility in the fast-approaching congressional race.

Working against the clock to assure Pennsylvania voters that he is forthright, trustworthy and able has been an exhausting challenge, but Christopher's chances at beating the incumbant look good.

Julianne Crow, a plus-size model struggling to make ends meet, jumps at the chance to make a little extra cash on the side. What does she have to do? Slip something into Christopher Winslow's drink and take some very naughty pictures with him.

But Christopher is nothing like Julianne expected, and when her actions sabotage his hard-earned campaign only a month before the election, her guilt is overwhelming. She offers Christopher her help in an effort to repair the damage she's caused, but can anything change the fact that he sees her as an opportunist and a mercenary?

When she starts campaigning for Christopher, he may find out there's more to her than meets the eye.

EXCERPT

He had no right.

He had no business.

But it didn't matter, because he couldn't help himself. He leaned forward and claimed her mouth hungrily with his.

Her lips moved beneath his immediately, her hands flattening on his chest as he reached around her waist and pulled her up against his body. Her lips tasted like coffee with a hint of sweetness, and he wanted more—more of her, more of the sweetness. Sweeping his tongue over her lips, she opened for him, and he tilted his head, slanting his lips to cover hers more perfectly. Their tongues tangled—velvet heat, timid at first and then more sure, her teeth razing his flesh as he plunged hungrily into her mouth, swallowing her whimper and adjusting her against his body so that his hardness lined up with the valley of her sex. He groaned as she nipped his bottom lip, leaning her head to the side as he slipped his tongue back into her mouth. Moaning softly, she arched into him, and he slid his hands up her back, bracketing the sides of her breasts through the flimsy material of her blouse and feeling the frantic, ragged pull of her breath beneath his fingers as he kissed her.

And kissed her.

And kissed her.

Another whimper sounded from the back of her throat, and suddenly he realized that the hands she'd flattened against his chest were pushing him away. With a grunt of frustration, he released her, stepping back. Reaching up, he touched his lips with the back of his hand, panting as his knuckles dragged over the sensitized skin. He scraped in a shaky breath, staring at her, forcing himself not to lunge for her and draw her back into his arms.

Her chest heaved up and down from the force of her breathing, her blouse was disheveled, and the skin around her lips looked pink, though her lipstick was still perfectly in place. Her eyes were wide. And angry.

"You can't do that!" she said in a breathless whisper. "You can't just—"

"I know," he mumbled, dropping his hand from his lips and raking it through his hair. What the hell had he just done? What was he thinking?

"You can't accuse me of . . . of falling for you two days ago and then . . . then k-kiss me in p-private like . . . like the world is ending today. It's not . . . it's not fair, Chris."

"I'm sorry. I just . . ."

He turned his back to her, confusion making him wince. He didn't trust her. He didn't want anything to do with her.

Why couldn't he help himself around her?

She raised her voice, speaking angrily to his back. "You said this was a job. An . . . an act. That didn't feel like an act."

"It wasn't."

"You're confusing me. You don't want me, then you—"

He palmed the back of his neck and turned to face her, his own voice low and lethal in his ears. "I don't want you?"

"No!"

"Are you insane?" he barked.

"Are you?"

"Jules," he gasped, staring at her in disbelief because how could she not know this? Despite what he'd said on Monday, didn't she know? Couldn't she see? And then suddenly he was speaking, his words coming out in a rush, a relief, a completely inappropriate stream of consciousness that he'd never, ever meant to share with her. "I can't think about anything but you. I dream about you. I have imaginary conversations with you. I go to YouTube and replay that press conference kiss over and over again to torture myself because I can't get enough of seeing you in my arms, melting into me. I don't want you?" He took a step toward her, stalking her, taking her arm so she couldn't pull away from him, and leaning into her personal space until they were almost nose to nose. "I've never wanted anyone as much as I want you!"

Perfectly Imperfect by Harper Sloan is LIVE!!!!!

PERFECTLY IMPERFECT

Mirror, mirror ... who's the fairest of them all?

I still cringe when I hear that line. A fairy tale that had girls pretending they were the fairest, the most beautiful, and the most entitled. A fairy tale most couldn't grow out of turned my haunted childhood memories into a living nightmare. Girls who grew up believing that pile of garbage became the meanest of all 'mean girls.'

And those mean girls were right it was a line meant for all the beautiful people in the world and I knew the answer would never be me.

The women with long legs, flat stomachs, and perfect chests.

The type of women Kane Masters gravitated toward.

Well, that's definitely not Willow Tate.

No. That will never be me.

Because I'm completely imperfect.

And ... I hate myself.

I have no idea what Kane could possibly see in someone like me when he could have them.

~MEET HARPER SLOAN~

Harper lives in small town Georgia just a short drive from her hometown of Peachtree City. She (and her 3 daughters) enjoy ruling the house they dubbed 'Estrogen Ocean', much to her husband’s chagrin. Harper has a borderline unhealthy obsession with books; you can almost ALWAYS find her with her eReader attached. She enjoys bad reality TV and cheesy romantic flicks. Her favorite kind of herothe super alpha kind!

Harper started using writing as a way to unwind when the house went to sleep at night; and with a house full of crazy it was the perfect way to just relax. It didn't take long before a head full of very demanding alphas would stop at nothing to have their story told.

Book Review for My Soul To Keep by Kennedy Ryan

MY SOUL TO KEEP

It seems the things worth keeping are often the hardest to hold...

KAI

I had two things in life that mattered. My mother and my music.
Mama was taken from me too soon, and now music is all I have left. It’s the thing that’s pushed me right out of backwoods Georgia into Los Angeles, where the line between fantasy and reality shimmers and blurs. I’m finally making my way, making my mark. I can’t afford to fall for one of music's brightest stars. Not now. Music is all I have left, and I’m holding on tight with both hands. I won’t let go, not even for Rhyson Gray.

RHYSON

I had one thing in my life that mattered – music. The only constant, it’s taken me to heights most people only dream about; a gift dropped in my lap at birth. I thought it was enough. I thought it was everything until I met Kai. Now she’s all I think about, like a song I can't get out of my head. If I have to chase her, if I have to give up everything - I will. And once she's mine, I won't let go.

REVIEW: 4.5 STARS

I get the sense that she's not so much playing hard to get as much as she actually is hard to get.

When I say I loved this book, I'm not sure I can accurately describe it enough. Awkward at some points, brilliant at others, sexy all the time. This book had a good mix of a headstrong woman, a cocky music star and an intense passion that was bigger than either of them could realize. You have two people being attracted on all levels, yet one is fighting the attraction.....and it doesn't appear that the fight is a winning fight. And that part I loved! That part made me smile as I read it.

This was my first book by Kennedy Ryan, and I must say that I enjoyed the pushing and pulling on the characters' emotions in this one. The angst was there; not HIGH, but not low....it was a very good mix of angst and tension. There was a slow build to Rhyson and Kai's relationship that kept me turning the pages and this was memorable for me because we got to see them grow within the comfort of their little bubble that pushed the outside world away. This was the perfect "get-to-know-you" stage in the book. It was funny and it made me laugh, but it was endearing and made me sigh. It also set up the rest of the book perfectly for the 'reality' of their new world. This book was a longer book, but it kept me engaged with everything going on....I never once thought that I needed to skim the pages. The buildup and culmination of their 'coming together' (no pun intended....I think) was no let down. I think the emotions that ran high were valid. I think the arguments had were not one-sided, which means it didn't feel like made-up drama (yay!). It really was an all around great book. I'm hooked!

I do want to explain that it started out super sad and a little slow for me, but the pickup was great. I really didn't want to put this book down and even found myself talking to the characters. Seriously. I was telling Kai to NOT do that and to see that from Rhyson's point of view. I wanted to shake her and I wanted to kick him in the knee at various times. But really, the sentiment and emotion that pushed these two to new heights was so palpable and alluring. The smart-assery that was involved was spot on! I love a book that is sexy and engaging, and it's always a win when it's funny as well. This was definitely a win for me!!

However, I feel that I need to say....the wait until March 2016 will be the very slow death of me. I need to find out what is going on. I need to know how this all shifts and ends. I am a new fan of Kennedy Ryan's and am anxious to read the conclusion to Rhyson and Kai's story.

Remember, I have a giveaway on the FACEBOOK post I posted my review on. Enter there!!!

Angst and happiness,
~Bee
