Excerpt for Anti-Stepbrother by Tijan

Excerpt

The sun shone into the room, and it took me a few moments to realize where I was.

I didn’t recognize the kingsize bed, or the black sheets, but then Caden walked past the open door and all the memories flooded into place.

I slept at his place.

I glanced around the bed... I slept in his bed!

“Your alarm’s about to go off in ten minutes,” Caden called from the doorway. He had a cup of coffee in hand and wore only jeans.

I tried to keep my eyes front and center, but I lost. The tattoos were a nice little zigzag pattern, pulling my gaze down, all the way down. Caden’s slow, smooth chuckle told me he knew what I’d just done. My cheeks only warmed a little.

I shot him a look, falling back to the pillow. “I feel like this should be the first skip day of my school career.”

“You’ve never skipped before?”

I shook my head, rolling it side to side on the pillow. “Am I missing out? Should I embrace my inner deviant?”

He smirked. “You can skip a class for any reason in the world. It’s your life.”

I sat up, eyeing that coffee. “You were supposed to be the bad influence.”

His eyebrow lifted. “I’m not selling it enough?” He lifted his cup. “You want some coffee?”

“I’m wondering if today is the day I try coffee too.”

“You’ve never had coffee?”

“I’m beginning to think I’m lame.” I thought about it. “Really lame.”

“You slept at some guy’s house last night. Think of it that way.” His smirk was back. “Not so lame now.”

I could do one better. “I slept at a fraternity house.”

“And you drank beer.”

“It was the second night in a row that I drank beer.”

“See? Not so lame after all.”

“You’re right.” I sat up. “I’m halfway to total badass.”

He grinned. “We cuddled last night, and you could think of it as dry humping. You almost got some last night.”

Except I hadn’t, and we were in the friend zone. Why were my hands curling around the covers into tight balls? I glanced down and forced them to loosen, then shrugged, trying to be the nonchalant badass I was.

“You carried me to bed. Almost the same thing.”

Suddenly, the joking was gone, and his eyes burned. I could feel his heat from across the room, and my body reacted, instantly warming even before he said a word.

“Nothing’s the same as sliding inside,” he murmured after a moment. “The feel of being in there, feeling that clench around you, knowing you can push as deep as you want, as hard or gently as you want. Nope. I’ve gotta step off the joke train for a moment here. Nothing is remotely the same as that feeling.”

Fuck. My pulse spiked.

He tossed me a look. “Maybe I’ll cop a feel the next time.”

I pretended to groan. “One more notch on my badass peg. You better cop a feel next time.”

“Is that all I am to you? A notch on the bedpost? I feel so used, Stoltz.”

Okay. My last name. We were back on familiar ground here. But my grin was still a little shaky.

“Get used to it, Banks. I’m only disguised as this plain Jane. Inside there’s a wild woman just waiting to be let loose.”

He didn’t reply.

He stared at me for a few more seconds, then straightened from the doorway.

“There’s nothing plain about you, Summer.”

Synopsis:

He told me to 'settle, girl.'
He asked if 'something was wrong with me?'
He said I was an ‘easy target.’
That was within minutes when I first met Caden Banks.
I labeled him an *sshole, but he was more than that. Arrogant. Smug. Alpha.

He was also to-die-for gorgeous, and my stepbrother’s fraternity brother.

Okay, yes I was a little naive, a tad bit socially awkward, and the smallest amount of stalker-ish, but if Caden Banks thought he could tell me what to do, he had another thing coming.

I came to college with daydreams about being with my stepbrother, but what if I fell for the anti-stepbrother instead?

~MEET TIJAN~
I didn't begin writing until after undergraduate college. There'd been storylines and characters in my head all my life, but it came to a boiling point one day and I HAD to get them out of me. So the computer was booted up and I FINALLY felt it click.

Writing is what I needed to do. After that, I had to teach myself how to write. I can't blame my teachers for not teaching me all those years in school. It was my fault. I was one of the students that was wishing I was anywhere but at school! So after that day, it took me lots of work until I was able to put together something that resembled a novel. I'm hoping I got it right since someone must be reading this profile! And I hope you keep enjoying my future stories.

Excerpt for Something To Believe In by Ella Fox

~EXCERPT~

Not gonna lie, watching my girl operate that car like a driving master was as exhilarating as it was hot. She drove for about thirty minutes before we wound up on some country ass back road, at which point I figured out she’d still been holding back. Once we were out on the open road, she drove like the car was an extension of her. As fast as she was going, I never once felt like I wasn’t safe or she wasn’t in total control. The faster she drove, the harder I got. Daisy was lightning in a goddamn bottle.

When we’d gone at least ten miles on the back road without seeing anything but trees and a few cows, I asked her to pull over. Even that she made into something wild, slamming on the brakes and executing a perfect three hundred and sixty degree turn before coming to a dead stop. She grinned over at me proudly before pulling over to the side of the road and putting the car in park.

“Nerves getting to you?” she teased.

I shook my head as I leaned over, cupped the back of her head and kissed her like a madman. We were all teeth and tongue, the kiss damn near brutal we were both so desperate. She pulled away just long enough to turn off the engine and unhook her seatbelt. As soon as she was finished, she went back to kissing me and started clawing at my jeans, rubbing her hand over my c0ck as I groaned into her mouth.

After a few desperate minutes of kissing me wildly, she ended it and took total control. I gave it up without a peep as she first unhooked my seatbelt and then unzipped my pants. When she got my c0ck out, she licked her lips before getting on her knees in her seat and bending over the console to take me in her mouth. The hot wet heat of the inside of her mouth was fvcking everything.

It took some doing as far as maneuvering went, but I managed to get my arm out so I could grab the hem of her skirt to pull it up over her ass. She moaned around my d!ck as I slid my hand into her bikini panties.

I growled low in my throat as my fingers slid over her wet heat. The undeniable proof that my girl liked to suck c0ck was a serious turn on. I’d never realized how fvckin’ hot it would be to have a woman get off on having a mouth full of d!ck.

Her position over the console had to be uncomfortable but she didn’t seem to give one bit of a fvck. She slurped and sucked at my d!ck like it housed an elixir she desperately needed and her fingernails scraping gently over my balls made me want to fvck her into oblivion. As she was giving a blowjob for the ages I was busy rubbing her clit, loving how wet she was making my fingers. When she popped her head off my c0ck and sat up, I growled low in my throat.

“Get on my d!ck,” I ordered.

Cover and Excerpt Reveal for El Diablo by M Robinson

~EXCERPT~

I lunged forward, clearing all the contents off the table, to the floor. The sounds of the glass crashing onto the hardwood was mocking me… my heart shattering the exact same way.

It was everywhere and all around me.

I couldn’t run.

I couldn’t escape.

I had no one.

I kept moving because I knew once I stopped I would crash, and possibly never get back up again. I darted around the dining room, my feet stomping with every step, leaving a path of destruction in their wake. Throwing candles, dishware, and chairs.

Flipping the table over. I went after anything I could find, demolishing the perfect night.

“I hate you! I hate you!” I yelled, punching the mirror that I caught my reflection in.

Not even flinching from the pain. I repeated that mantra over and over, letting it sink into my pores, and making it become a part of me. Destroying everything in my path, the future I would never have.

I pulled my hair back, taking in the destructive scene before me. “Get yourself together,” I rasped, making my way to the bar. Taking four swigs of whiskey from the head, not bothering with a glass, and repeating it several times until the bottle was empty, and I felt nothing but the burn through my body.

I couldn’t take it anymore. I grabbed another bottle, wanting to drown myself in the amber liquid. Leaning my whole body against the wall, I started sliding down, wallowing in the despair of what my life had become. I don’t know how long I sat there, drinking my life away when I heard the front door open, footsteps coming my way.

“Sophia?” I slurred.

A part of me hoped that it was somebody that was coming to put me out of my misery.

I was ruthless.

I was feared.
I had sacrificed. Myself. Her. Everything...

Living in a world where I was worth more dead than alive was a choice. I was a bad man, never claimed to be anything else. I’ve done things I’m not proud of. Seen things that can’t be unseen. I’ve caused pain that I can’t undo.
It was all my choice.
Every decision.
Every order.
Right and wrong never mattered.
Until her.
She was under my protection, until she became my obsession.
But who was going to save her...

From. Me. The devil himself.

Fate brought us together. Destiny destroyed us.

REFRAIN
by KENNEDY RYAN

People dream of a love that runs deep. So deep it feels like it's always been with you, just waiting for the person who'll own your heart and soul forever. So few ever find it, but for Rhyson Gray and Kai Pearson, happily ever after was only the beginning...

One of the biggest rock stars in the world and one of the brightest rising stars make a life together. Sometimes it's glamour-filled days and blissed out nights, but it's mostly staying true in the too-bright glare of the spotlight. It's long stretches where the road is lonely and the work is hard. It's living in a love that's the safest place you know even while danger lurks at your door.

Book 3 of The Soul series is an emotionally-charged epic conclusion that had to be told and should not be missed for fans of this series and this couple!

REVIEW: 5 STARS
"I'm already inside of her in the way that truly counts, already occupying her soul."

I have loved this series since I first started it and I must say, she's never let me down. This series is honestly one of my favorites of the year. I ~love~ their love. OMG....this is where I attempt to not sound like an idiot explaining how fantastic this book was, as well as the whole series.

Have you ever felt a love so powerful that you have no words to explain it? I think that's how I feel their love makes me feel. It's static....it's live, it crackles. It's ever present, and there is nothing Rhys won't do to make Kai feel his love, or the magnitude of his love. I loved how possessive he was of Kai. It's the purest form of love I've ever read. I truly enjoyed their story a lot. I just want to shake everyone and throw books at them, telling them to READ THIS SERIES!!!

Aside from being an extraordinary and beautiful love story, Kennedy's words are lyrical. They are smooth and they flow effortlessly. I kid you not, I sighed throughout while reading their story. The way Rhys talks to Kai, the way he holds her heart within his own, it literally makes me catch my breath. Seriously, lyrical. It's the kind of love story that wraps you up, heart and soul, and cradles you as you read it. <sigh>

Is there drama in this book? Yes, sure. That is a little something they have to deal with, being in the public's eye. Is there beauty in the words? YES. It is constant. It is real. It is PURE. I really feel like this series is a slow dance with my heart....one of the easiest love stories to read where they are so intimate with each other on such a deep level, it's almost a crime to be 'watching' them. Rhys can't be close enough, touch her enough, show her enough. It's on such a visceral level that is almost....uncontrollable. It's not overbearing or too much, in my opinion. I honestly think it's a true attestation of their love for one another. Perfection.

One huge, massive sigh.....this book was the absolute perfect ending for their passionate story.

"Perfect love casts out fear."
